How the Well Line Pressure Control Module Works

Traditional well systems can experience noticeable pressure fluctuations as the well pump turns on and off between the pressure switch’s cut-in and cut-out settings.

The Well Line Pressure Control Module is designed to provide greater control over this process. At the center of the module is a Cycle Stop Valve, which regulates pressure while water is being used.

Once the well pump turns on, the valve helps maintain a more consistent pressure as demand changes throughout the home. This can reduce the noticeable pressure swings that commonly occur with traditional well pump and pressure tank setups.

Pressure Control & System Protection

Several components work together within the module to control pressure and help protect the well water system.

The Cycle Stop Valve regulates downstream pressure while there is active water demand. A pressure switch controls when the well pump starts and stops, while the bladder tank provides a small reserve of pressurized water and helps accommodate smaller water demands.

The module also includes a pressure relief valve as an additional safeguard. If system pressure exceeds its designated limit, the valve can release pressure through a drain connection.

Built-In Well Water Filtration

The Well Line Pressure Control Module also provides a dedicated filtration section with coarse and fine filter housings.

A built-in filter bypass allows water to be routed around the filters when necessary, making filter changes and maintenance easier without requiring the entire filtration assembly to be removed from the water line.

A digital flow meter provides additional insight into the amount of water moving through the system.

Optional Add-On Filtration

For homes that require additional water treatment, an optional filtration module can be installed downstream of the Well Line Pressure Control Module.

This provides additional space for water treatment before the water continues to the home and allows the setup to be configured around the property’s specific water quality needs.
