TIMED USES And Regular Recurring Uses
Well Manager® is a time based collection
system which, because of its very nature, will allow you to predict
exactly how much water will be available for use at any given time. This
makes Well Manager a perfect match for time based uses.
Time based uses include the obvious
like landscape irrigation systems run by a timed zone control but
also some uses that are not so obvious. Even household use falls
in this category because the same activities are repeated every 24
hours.
Other regular recurring uses include:
Schools: SEE
Schools and inadequate wells
Houses of Worship
Offices
Some Industrial Uses
Others
All recurring uses are time based to the
extent that they depend on the 24 hour day. Animals, including man,
consume most of their daily requirement during the day. Even animals eat
and drink at regular times. If you doubt this, watch a bird feeder for a
day. Even trees and plants use less water at night than they do during
the day when the sun is out and photosynthesis is going full tilt.
Because of the cycle that most living
things follow, there are far fewer demands on an aquifer at night than
there are during the day. In areas severely affected by drought, regular
collection throughout the day and night will produce the least
disturbance to the aquifer and spread out the load. In areas where the
water table is low and competition for water is intense in the daylight
hours it makes sense to design systems to collect in the off peak hours
or to convert as many users to well management as it takes to stop
interference being caused by over pumping.
Well Manager® provides amazing results
when working with timed uses because the timing of collection and the
timing of the use can be adjusted to accommodate each other. This makes
it possible to operate a landscape irrigation system that requires 13
gpm per zone and the plumbing in the house at the same time using a 3
gallon per minute well with only 800 gallons of storage.
