PLUMBING PERFORMANCE IN BUILDINGS CONNECTED TO A WELL

Well Manager® is used in buildings to improve pressure, volume and to prevent occupants from running out of water during peak demand periods. These systems can be used in office, school, church or any other type of building to correct performance or lack of water problems caused by low yield wells.

The most common use is in housing where many homeowners find that they are unable to use more than one bathroom at a time because they just don't have enough pressure to supply more than one.

The real problem is that the well is low yield and the pump installed in it was sized so the well couldn't be pumped all the way down leaving the homeowner high and dry. This is a situation that arises all too often in new homes when the well yield is adequate to meet the Board of Health or Building Department minimums for a certificate of occupancy but not adequate to meet the needs of the plumbing installed in the home.

After several years of putting up with poor performance homeowners may ask their local pump company or well driller to install a larger well pump. Unfortunately this usually results in changing the complaint from "poor pressure" to I run out of water."

Well Manager® can cure problems like this because it is really two systems in one. It is a collection system which can be set up to work on the amount of water nature is delivering to the well and a delivery side which is set up to serve the plumbing installed in the building. For that reason it is possible to run a custom shower that requires 25 gallons per minute on a 1 gallon per minute or less well.

Because Well Manager® is an engineered system the result can be calculated mathematically. This means it is possible to know what you are going to get and exactly what the cost will be before a dime is spent. There is no gamble, no wondering what is to be done if the well is drilled and still there isn't enough water to get the performance you want.
